It is loosely based on the award-winning children’s book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak and the screenplay for the movie. Maybe you have seen the fabulous previews for the movie, which was co-written by Dave Eggers and Spike Jonze. Click here to watch the trailer. I will be reading this as soon as possible. So, Sunday when I come in for my second shift of the month please remind me that I want this book! I don’t usually like Dave Eggers (but I have both of his books). But this is worth my time to read.

Nell, I started reading it last night . . . and it was hard to put down. I managed to make it to page 47 before falling asleep. The characters are very endearing; you immediately develop sympathy and hope for them. Check out this faux-fur edition of The Wild Things. We’re supposed to be getting some of these in October. They’re hysterical . . . . but I think I’m glad I got the non-fur edition. So Silly! wild things fur cover
